Is it time for school already?  I used to dread this time of year.  Sure it is fun getting all new clothes and preparing to catch up with all those friends you've missed all summer, but who wants to be stuck in Wal-Mart with thousands of other frantic families, trying to find the one protractor left in the entire county.

But just for a second, imagine school shopping wasn't a privilege. What if it was a moment of dread because your family could not afford to send you to school adequately equipped for the next school year?  That puts a different spin on things.

On Saturday, August 22nd, Northplace Church wants to extend our hands in compassion to our community.  On that Saturday, we want to provide 500 elementary age students with school supplies, haircuts, and fingerprint records with local law enforcement.  Be a part of this great day.  If you would like to donate to this cause, drop by Northplace Church, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.  If you would like to volunteer, contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
